Privacy policy

This page describes how candy--ai.net treats information about its visitors. It covers this site only. The platform we write about handles data on a far larger scale, and we summarise its practices in the data handling section of our review — that summary is reporting, not a policy we control.

What we collect

Nothing you have to give us. There is no account to create, no newsletter, no comment box and no payment form anywhere on this site. We do not ask for your name, your email address or your age, and we do not run advertising scripts or build profiles of readers.

Our pages are static files. They load two stylesheets and one small script from this domain and nothing from third-party networks, so no external service is handed your IP address simply because you opened a page here.

Cookies and local storage

We set no cookies of our own and store nothing in your browser’s local storage. Any preference your browser remembers between visits — text size, reduced motion, dark mode — is your browser’s own setting, not ours.

Server logs

The hosting platform that serves these files keeps standard access logs for security and traffic measurement. A log line typically records the page requested, a timestamp, a truncated or hashed IP address, the referring page and a user-agent string. We use these logs in aggregate, to see which pages are read; we do not attempt to identify individual readers from them, and we do not combine them with anything else. Retention is set by the host, generally a few weeks.

When you follow an outbound button

The buttons on this site open the official Candy AI service in a new tab through a tracked referral link. From the moment that tab opens, the destination and its referral network decide what to record — usually enough to credit the visit, which can include your IP address, device information and the time of the click. We receive aggregate counts, never a list of who clicked what. Your dealings on that service, including anything you pay for, are covered by its own privacy notice and terms.

Contact messages

If you write to us using the address on our contact page, we hold your message and your email address for as long as it takes to answer you, plus a short period in case you reply. We do not add correspondents to a mailing list, and we do not pass messages to the platform or to any advertiser.

Children

This site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about minors. If you believe a minor has sent us a message, tell us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing, most requests resolve quickly. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for correspondence to be deleted, or object to our use of it. Write to the address on the contact page and we will respond within 30 days. If you want data removed from the Candy AI platform itself, that request has to go to its privacy team; we cannot act on your behalf.

Changes

If our practices change — for example if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and the review date above before the change takes effect.
